My Most Popular Posts Of 2015

Since we're rapidly nearing the end of 2015, I thought it'd be nice to have a little look back on some of my most popular posts from the past year and share them with you guys. I've kind of lost my blogging mojo over the past few months so reflecting back on the posts that 'did well' was a nice way of reminding myself that I can write decent-ish posts if I actually put my mind to it - and it's also made me want to try and top them in 2016!

Cheap, Everyday Essentials Every Girl Needs

There are certain products I use practically every day and kinda couldn't live without but never really mention on the old blog because they're, well, a bit boring and not the most glamorous. I mean, no-one wants to see a pic of my make up free face dotted in sudocrem in an attempt to calm my spots down on Insta, do they? But, today I thought I'd give these reliable, trusty products the credit they deserve...

Festive Home Accessories With Homesense

Homeware is my absolute favourite thing to shop for and Homesense is definitely one of the first places I'll go to buy it, so, when they got in touch and asked if I'd like to buy some festive accessories to help get my flat in the Christmas spirit I was more than up for the challenge...

Christmas Gift Guide: Stocking Filler Ideas Under £5!

I don't know about you, but I always like to buy stocking fillers for people - even if I've got them a big, main gift - just 'cause it's a little extra something to open. But, lets be honest, some stocking fillers can either be a bit crap or cost far more than they should for something so tiny. So, if you're stuck for some ideas for little bits and bobs to pop in any gals stocking, then this post should have you covered...

How To Get Your Creative Mojo Back

When I first started this blog, I literally had SO many ideas of things to write about. But, recently, I've been completely lost. I'll sit and stare at my laptop for hours trying to come up with something remotely interesting and, instead, end up on the Topshop new in section and make my bank account hate me even more. The stuggle is real, gals...

A Getaway In Liverpool With #BloggerLodge

Bit late with the old posting today, aren't I? But HERE I AM with day 6 of daily December posting, yay. Last Sunday, Josh and I got blown to the train station by gale force winds and set off on our journey to Liverpool to spend a few nights in the Travelodge as part of the #BloggerLodge campaign. Here's what we got up to...

Cranberry & White Chocolate Cookies Recipe

I did a cookie recipe a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to go down really well so I thought I'd hit you with another one. It's basically the same recipe but slightly more festive - cranberry and white chocolate. Ooh la la.

Recent Print Additions

Happy Friday y'all! Today I just wanted to share with you some of my recent print additions because, erm, I kinda love them. I'm obsessed with looking for prints. Seriously, once I find an Etsy shop that stocks them, I can spend a good few hours browsing through their collection and I'm totally okay with that, tbh. Here's some of the pretty prints I've picked up lately...

November Instagram Diary

I had a bit of a poor Instagram month, in November, to be honest. I barely took any photos and half of the ones I did, I ended up deleting because they didn't 'match'. Lol, #bloggerprobs. Anyway, here's a quick round up of what I've been up to this month with the photos that did make the cut on my Instagram...

Blogs To Check Out #2

So, I know I probably say this far too often but HOW quick has this month gone!? I can't believe we're actually in December. The Christmas countdown is well and truly on now. Although I'm not as excited about Christmas as I was last year cos, y'know, #retailprobs, I'm still loving all the wintery, Christmassy vibes that come with this festive month. Anyway, if you're looking for a bit of new reading, grab a cuppa and check out the lovely bloggers who've been advertising me with throughout November...

Pretty Polaroid Pictures (& A Giveaway!)

Now that the world is so digital, I take photos all the time but it's very rare I actually print them out and have a physical picture to frame or keep in my purse. I got an Instax Mini over the summer and loved the polaroid style photos it printed out but the only bug bear I have with it is that there's no second chances once you've actually hit the shutter and taken the photo! Which is why the website Cheerz is awesome...

Christmas Beauty Sets I've Got My Eye On

Although Christmas is a time for giving, it would be just plain rude not to include yourself in the equation, right? Because, yes, you may receive gifts from others but who knows your taste better than you do, huh? If you're a beauty addict, like me, then Christmas beauty sets will probably send you into a bit of a frenzy. Limited edition products, cute mini versions of your fave moisturiser or lipstick. It's heaven, basically...

Easiest Cookie Recipe Ever: Milk & White Choc Chip

I went through a period, last year, where I baked all the time and even faffed around with piping my icing in rose shapes(?!) Then, I got lazy. So, on the rare opportunity that I do bake, I like a recipe that's quick, easy and tastes GOOD. Even if it doesn't look totally Pinterest-able - aslong as it satisfies my taste buds - I'm cool with that. So, my friends, I give you (potentially) the easiest cookie recipe ever...

Why We Should Take Some Time Out (And Not Feel Guilty About It)

I think so many of us, myself included, often feel guilty about taking time out for ourselves. For me, it's almost like ten minutes just sat in front of the TV seems like a waste. Like I should be doing something more productive with my time. But, sometimes, a couple of hours, a day or even a week off is needed for us to fully recuperate and recharge our batteries...

October Instagram Diary: Feeling Autumnal, Five Guys & Fruit Loaf

Hello... It's me. I just had to, soz. So, October's been a weird month and I must apologise for how sporadic my posts have been lately. Up until recently, I used to always post 3/4 times a week on set days and lately that just hasn't really gone to plan. I haven't really found the time to actually sit down and properly blog so I definitely want to get into a better blogging routine from now on. Autumn Evenings

Fleecy pyjamas on, dressing gown on, slipper socks on and a throw draped around me for good measure, I settle down on the sofa with a hot chocolate in hand and feel blissful. It's dark outside, perhaps it's raining too, but all I know is that I'm cosy and content, curled up on the sofa with a night of soaps and series ahead of me.

Essential Items You Need In Your A/W Wardrobe

Back on the capsule wardrobe hype again, I'm here with my picks that I think are perfect for any autumn/winter wardrobe. I'm all about layering, in the colder seasons, and like to go for clothes that can easily be mixed and matched with each other - and I think these items defo fit the bill. Throw in a pair of tights, leggings and/or jeans and a big ol' warm coat and you're set for the season with these essential items that will make you look uber cool and can easily be worn on the repeat...

How To Get A Good Night's Sleep

On Sunday, the clocks go back which is great because you get an extra hour in bed (woohoo) but it also means the mornings feel a lot darker and gloomier which can make getting out of bed seriously hard work. I feel like the only way to counteract this is by getting a really good night's sleep to try and make the mornings a little more bearable. Here's how I do that...

Why An Internet Detox Is So Worthwhile

There's very rarely (okay, never) a day goes by where I don't go on the internet in one way or another. Even whilst on holiday in Ibiza, earlier this year, my boyfriend and I regularly sought out cafes that had wifi so we could get our daily fix. When I think about it - that's seriously sad. Like, why do we feel the need to constantly be online?

The Classic Silver Stud With A Rose Gold Twist

If there's one thing I'm happy to invest in, it's a good pair of staple earrings. I used to own loads of earrings and was obsessed with the 'Freedom' jewellery range at Topshop, in particular. However, I soon realised that 'cheap' earrings just didn't work for me. They made my ears really itchy and gave them that manky green tinge. Y'know the dealio. So when Gemporia got in touch and asked if I'd like to try out something from their range, I went straight to the earrings tab...

12 More Reasons I'm Crap At Being An Adult

One of my most popular posts, to date, was 14 reasons why I'm crap at being an adult. I like to think it's because I'm not alone in this. Remembering Why I Started Blogging & Falling Back In Love With It

The original title of this post was actually going to be 'Falling Out of Love With Blogging'. It was a Friday night, I was home alone and I really wanted get loads of blogging done, whilst I had chance, but I just could not be arsed. To summarise, I've been feeling a bit mehhhh about blogging, in general, lately and writing my thoughts down usually makes me feel a lot better. But I decided that instead of writing a ranty post about the reasons I've not been enjoying it, I would think back to why I actually started this lil old blog and, y'know what? It helped!

Apologies for how cliche and cheesy the title of this blog post sounds - I mean, if I read a title like this, I'd probably just roll my eyes. But (of course there's a but) this isn't meant to be a cheesy post filled with lots of positive, inspirational quotes that'll make you want to vom your breakfast right up. It's just a little reminder for me - and anyone else reading - that we really should just be ourselves more often rather than trying to be something we're not or something we think other people might prefer...

My Go To Autumnal MAC Eye Shades

Other than my Marc Jacobs watch, my most prized possession is definitely my MAC Eyeshadow Pro Palette. Even though, admittedly, half of the shades rarely get used - it's just so pretty to look at. Y'know how it is - some people collect stamps, I collect eyeshadows. I've been wanting to share my completed palette on here for a while now as I finished it months ago but I'm still a bit unsure about some of the shades. So, instead, I thought I'd just show you my 'autumnal' shades (bet you're sick of hearing that word on blogs already, aren't you?)

Easy Ways To Save Money When You're Shopping Online

I have a love/hate relationship with online shopping. I love it because I can literally do it at any time of the day, in my pyjamas whilst eating a tub of Ben & Jerrys. But it's also the reason I'm constantly poor. Because what do I do whenever I'm feeling down in the dumps or just a bit bored? I'll have a leisurely browse of the Topshop 'new in' section and abuse my bank balance in the process. So, if you're a fellow online shopping addict, here are a few easy ways to save a bit of money in the whole process...

Why We Should Embrace Change

I'm scared of change, terrified even - there, I said it. I like my routines, I like being in my 'comfort zone' and I just hate the thought of not knowing exactly whats around the corner. But I realised recently that, if you're not totally happy, then change is actually really necessary and there's no need to be scared of it at all. In fact, we should embrace it. Here's a few reasons why which, hopefully, might help anyone else out there who's contemplating making a change (however big or small) and needs a lil bit of reassurance...

Now we're officially in a new season, I feel like it's about time my wardrobe reflected that. Out with the old, in with the new and all that. I talked about starting a capsule wardrobe a couple of weeks ago and I've slowly but surely been adding some bits to it but there's still room for way more key pieces yet. 18 Reasons Why Autumn Is Awesome

It's official: Autumn is here. Although, to be honest, it basically felt like Summer ended weeks ago (or like we never really had one!) Overall, I really like Autumn. I mean, there are shit bits like having to defrost the car, piling on the pounds because I can't say no to whipped cream on my PSL and an increase in the old electricity bill. But then there's the good bits that make Autumn pretty awesome, which I thought I'd share with you today. Apologies for the super cliched photo, by the way. I wanted one of pretty, brown fallen leaves and all that jazz but, since we're not quite at that stage of the season yet, you'll have to make do with an Autumnal Starbucks cup instead...

All About Antipodes

Antipodes Products
Antipodes is one of those brands that I've always admired from a distance. Probably because it's just not as mainstream as other skincare brands like Clarins or Clinique, so  I wasn't completely sure on how well their products would work. However, after trying out a couple of different products from their range, I am completely sold. And, since it's organic beauty week at the moment, I thought it was the perfect time to share some of my favourite products from Antipodes with you because, you guessed it, everything of theirs is either completely organic or packed with natural ingredients...

When You're Too Busy To Blog...

Being too busy to blog is a problem I see people constantly talking about and it can be a real pain in the arse. When blogging isn't your job and is just a bit on the side, so to speak, it can't always take priority and - even if it is your job - sometimes life can just get in the way. I'm in a similar scenario myself, at the moment, so thought I'd throw together a couple of  things to do and what to remember when you find yourself just too damn busy to blog - but don't want to completely abandon your baby altogether...

How To Start A Capsule Wardrobe

During my (far too regular) Pinterest sessions, I kept coming across a shit ton of pins about 'capsule wardrobes' - and I was intrigued. For a while now, I've been unhappy with my wardrobe and felt like I didn't really like anything in there and wanted to do something about it. Which is why I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe. Essentially, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of versatile pieces - all of which you really love. Pieces that you didn't just buy 'cos it was on sale' and you're not just keeping 'incase you lose 10lbs next summer'. It does mean that you may have a much smaller wardrobe, yes, but everything in there will be able to be mixed and matched with each other and put together to create various different outfits. So, I decided to make this a new mission of mine: to get rid of all my old shit and create a dreamy capsule wardrobe. Here's some tips on  how I'm getting started with it...
