20 (Very Real) Girl Problems

I really enjoyed writing my last girl-related post "20 things that make me a stereotypical girl" and it seemed to go down pretty well with you guys! So I thought I'd have a go at another list you can all relate to. This time it's 20 problems us gals have to deal with. Yep, the struggle is real...

5 Budget Friendly Beauty Buys

Budget Friendly Buys

There's nothing better than finding a beauty product that does it's job, whilst not breaking your bank balance in order to do so. Here are 5 beauty bits that I've been loving recently, all costing less than £7 each - perfect for those on a budget...

Book Review #3 / No Time For Goodbye

No Time for Goodbye by Linwood Barclay
A creepy looking front cover, eerie title and suspenseful summary made me certain this book was the one for me as thrillers are my favourite kind of reading material. When reading a novel of this genre I want to be gripped from start to finish. Luckily for me, Linwood Barclay had me well and truly hooked...

Wishlist #2

So, my spending ban is still going strong (pat on the back, for me) but I still feel the need to make wishlists filled with lots of items I can't currently afford - it's almost therapeutic. Here's what I've currently got my eye on...

Review: Nanshy Marvel 4 in 1 Make Up Blending Sponge

Nanshy Blending Sponge

Before we start, I have to hold my hands up and be honest here - I have never tried a beauty blending sponge. I've got so accustomed to using a brush to apply my foundation, I've never even thought to see what other options there are. So when I was sent this 4 in 1 make up blending sponge* by cruelty-free brand Nanshy, I was very excited to give it a go.

Book Review #2 / The Husbands Secret

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

Another week, another book and this week's novel of choice was The Husbands Secret, written by Australian author, Liane Moriarty. Was it, as Sophie Hannah claims on the front cover, "staggeringly brilliant... literally unputdownable"? Perhaps, in parts...

20 Things That Make Me A 'Stereotypical Girl'

Do you ever read those 'typical girl' accounts on Twitter and laugh at the things they post but, at the same time, cringe inside because you do/say the exact same thing!? Me too. So I thought I'd compile a list of some of the 'stereotypical girl' clich├Ęs I am definitely guilty of...

Two Moisturisers I Love

Moisturisers are such an important part of our skincare routine but, as they can be quite costly, they're a purchase you want to be sure of before wasting your money on something that might not do what it claims to. I've been using the same day and night moisturiser for about a year now so thought I'd share with you why I love these two so much...

Book Review #1 / The Shock Of The Fall

One of my new year's resolutions was to read more and I've set myself a little challenge to read a book each week, this year. My first book of 2015 was 'The Shock of the Fall', a debut by Nathan Filer, which won the Costa Book of the Year, in 2014. Did it live up to it's expectations? Here's what I thought...

Wishlist #1

Like a lot of people, I'm on a bit of a spending ban in January where I'm only really buying the bare necessities - so making this wishlist was basically like a form of torture. But at least I'm prepared for when my next pay cheque goes in! Here's the items I'm lusting over at the moment, in my first wishlist of 2015...

Beating The January Blues

I'm on a bit of a post-Christmas comedown, if I'm honest, and I'm guessing a lot of you might be too. The tree's been taken down, all the chocolates have been eaten, presents have been put away and, well, it just feels a little depressing that it's all over for another year. The start of a new year always seems fresh and exciting to begin with but, once we're back to the same daily routine, everything just seems to slip back to normality pretty quickly. Here's a couple of things I'll be doing to try and cheer myself up and shake off those January blues...

Staple Skincare Products Of 2014

Last week I did a round up of my most used make up of 2014 so now's the time to share my staple skincare products of the year. You may have noticed there are less products in this line up, than in the make up one - this is mainly because I have quite a simple skincare routine and once I find a product that agrees with my skin, I tend to stick with it! Here's my selection of the skincare that really stood out for me last year...

Hello 2015

(Photo taken & edited by me)

So, today I went back to work after a week of resting and relaxing - which was a bit of a shock to the system after spending the majority of my time off in my pyjamas, eating far too much chocolate! I've been loving reading everyone's New Years Resolutions post's so decided to jump on the bandwagon and write up my own...
