February Favourites

February Favourites

I'm a bit of a creature of habit when it comes to make up and skincare and tend to stick to what I like, which is why a monthly favourites section is rare for me, purely because it would end up featuring the same stuff every month - and nobody's got time for that right? However, I've discovered some new loves in February so thought I would share them with you all...

Songs I Can't Stop Listening To

I've never really posted about music on my blog before but there's a first time for everything, right?  Here's some songs I just can't seem to get out of my head at the moment...

Book Review #7 / Hero Or Zero

As I've become a bit of a bookworm this year, I was very excited when an author - Julie Shackman -contacted me a couple of weeks ago asking if I'd like to review her latest novel 'Hero or Zero'*. I needed a bit of light reading after the past few thrillers I've read so this little romantic comedy sounded right up my street. I'm also about 5 years late to the party here but this is the first book I've ever read electronically (can you believe it!?)

20 Girl Problems - Part 2

Girl Problems
I loved writing my last girl problems post but realised a list of 20 didn't really cover them all! So, here's part 2 of yet more problems and predicaments that come with being a lady...

Wishlist #3 / The Grey Edition

Grey Wishlist
Whilst I haven't exactly been jumping on the 50 Shades of Grey bandwagon, I can't deny that it did give me the inspiration for this grey-themed wishlist. With payday edging closer and closer, it's only right that I'm already on the hunt for things to blow my money on when it comes in...

Book Review #6 / Before We Met

Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse

We all know I love a good thriller and, what drew me to this book, was the comparisons to 'Gone Girl' I had seen mentioned in a few different magazines and reviews. Despite the ending of Gone Girl (we won't get into that right now), I was utterly enthralled by Gillian Flynn's thriller and read it in one day straight, whilst on holiday a couple of years ago. So, I was eager to read Lucie Whitehouse's latest novel in the hopes it would have me just as hooked...

Lush Lovin'

January left my skin in a bit of a sorry, spotty state so, when February came, I was on a bit of a mission to seek out some products that would restore it back to it's blemish-free self. When it comes to their skincare, Lush is a brand I've always admired from a distance - I've read countless reviews about how good their products are, yet never actually tried them out for myself. So, after researching into these two blemish busters, I thought I'd give them a go...

Pinterest Pretty Home Decorations - On A Budget

Since moving into my flat last year, I'm always on the look out for pretty little nik naks to give it that homely touch. I can spend hours on Pinterest browsing away at homeware inspiration but often find a lot of it is WAY out of my budget. Luckily, I've found a lot of little gems recently that are easy on the eye - and your bank balance.

Book Review #5 / Daughter

After my brief affair with a romantic comedy last week, I decided to get straight back into a suspense-filled thriller - they are my favourite kind of book, after all. This weeks novel of choice, by Jane Shemilt, tells the tale of a mother whose teenager daughter goes missing. A year later, and she's still no closer to finding her...

Book Review #4 / The Best Thing That Never Happened To Me

The Best Thing That Never Happened To Me

The past few books I've read have been thrillers so it was very refreshing to have a little romantic comedy to read this week. These types of books can be a bit hit and miss, in my opinion, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this novel...
