Lush Lovin'

January left my skin in a bit of a sorry, spotty state so, when February came, I was on a bit of a mission to seek out some products that would restore it back to it's blemish-free self. When it comes to their skincare, Lush is a brand I've always admired from a distance - I've read countless reviews about how good their products are, yet never actually tried them out for myself. So, after researching into these two blemish busters, I thought I'd give them a go...

Toner is one of those products that I've always used, but never really seen any benefits from. I used to just see it as an additional step in make up removal rather than actually helping my skin in any way. Until now.

I'd had the Tea Tree Water Toner Water on my wishlist for ages after seeing so many rave reviews about it on countless blogs. Luckily, for me, one of my best friends had a look at my wishlist and bought me it for my birthday! I've been using it everyday for about 10 days now and have already started to see a difference. I had a lot of congestion on my jaw line and a spritz of this, morning and night, seems to have helped clear that up. I love the fact this toner is in a spray bottle meaning there's no need for cotton pads - you can just spritz and go. The cool tea tree scent leaves my skin feeling revived and refreshed, too.

The Mask of Magnaminty is another one of those products I'd seen floating around on the blogosphere, quite frequently. It's not the most glamorous of face masks - the dark green colour is a little off putting and the smell isn't the most pleasant scent out there BUT it does work. I've used this peppermint pot of goodness three times now, putting a light layer on for about 10 minutes, then washing off with warm water. I love how the grainy texture helps to gently exfoliate your skin whilst it's being removed. As soon as I take the mask off, my face is left feeling noticeably fresher and smoother and, combined with the tea tree water, I feel like my skin has been restored to it's former self; brighter, and (almost) blemish-free.

You can buy the smaller sized versions of these products for just £5.50 each, which I think is a bargain as I've been known to spend a fortune on skincare before - that hasn't worked half as well as this duo.

Have you used either of these products? What other Lush lovelies would you recommend?
