11 Productive Things To Do When You're Bored

It's easy to fall into the trap of wasting an entire day on the sofa, with only Netflix to keep you company, when you're bored. But if you've got some time to kill and actually want to do something productive with your time, here's a couple of things to do that will make you feel like you've really got your shit together (even if you don't...)

1) Add stuff to your diary
I literally never use my diary so I immediately feel like the queen of organisation when I start adding appointments, meetings or reminders into it. Lol, who am I kidding, it's usually just people's birthdays or reminding myself that PLL returns on 2nd June but still.
2) Add stuff to your phone calendar
Because diaries don't come with alarms to remind you when you need to take your pill or you have a dentist appointment that you totally forgot about.
3) Exercise
A lot of people's excuse for not exercising is that they don't have enough time. So if you've got half an hour to kill and have nothing else to do then go for a run, do a bit of yoga or whatever tickles your fancy. You'll definitely feel much better for it afterwards.
4) Do a food shop
There's something about seeing a fridge full of food that makes me burst with joy and feel like I'm really on it. Thanks to online shopping, you can do this from the comfort of your sofa so, even if you're in mega cba mode, this can still be achieved.
5) Plan the weeks meals in advance
I love doing this as I'm basically obsessed with food. But it also means you don't find resorting to a bowl of cereal for your dinner, as it gets to the end of the week, because you have nothing else in.
6) Make a to-do list (and feel super smug as you tick everything off it)
Even if the list only includes: buy milk, wash up, vacuum - there's always that little sense of achievement when you tick things off a to-do list.
7) Write a blog post
Whenever I've got a blog post scheduled I always feel super productive. Even if I've done nothing else with my day, at least I've got something to show for it.
8) Clean your make up brushes
It's a chore that I hate doing but something that definitely HAS to be done. Otherwise I'm just asking for spots!
9) Sort out your wardrobe
Whether it's actually getting rid of old stuff you don't wear anymore or just making your wardrobe look a bit more organised and presentable, I always feel seriously satisfied when my clothes are hung up all nice and neatly.
10) Clear out your inbox
I'm actually pretty good at keeping up with my inbox but, if you're not, and you have 1345 unread emails - it's time to start sorting them out. There could be a really exciting email waiting to be read amongst all the other crap but you won't know until you've deleted everything else.
11) Update your CV
You never know when you might need a CV at hand and it's better to have an updated version at the ready for when this situation might arise!

What productive things do you do when you're feeling a bit bored?
