My Everyday Face

I don't know about you, but I always love reading posts about people's everyday make up. I think that if they like a product enough to wear it day in, day out - then it must be good! So, without further ado,  I thought I'd talk you through the six make up items I like to slap on my face on a daily basis...

I'm not all that exciting when it comes to make up, really, as I tend to just reach for the same items everyday. But, once I've found something I like, I'm always scared to switch things up! I used to work on a beauty counter and had to wear the full works so, now I don't have to promote the counter's products on my face, I like to keep it much more natural. Here's what you'll find on my face pretty much every day...

The Benefit 'That Gal' Brightening Face Primer is a very recent addition to my make up bag and, so far, I'm loving it! I'm very lazy when it comes to primers and I go through phases of using them religiously everyday to just completely abandoning them altogether. At the moment I'm trying to remember to use this to prime my face on a daily basis and I'm really liking the results. It comes out quite a bright pink shade which did put me off a bit, at first, as I'm already quite rosy to begin with - but the colour soon blends in and you're left with a nice, pearly finish. Previously I was using Benefit Porefessional but, now we're into Spring and I'm all about that dewy look, I've found myself reaching for 'That Gal' much more frequently.

After a brief affair with NARS Luminous Weightless, I'm now back with my trusty Lancome Teint Miracle Bare Skin Foundation. I kind of fell out of love with it earlier this year when I realised it was far too dark for me but, after purchasing the lightest shade they offer, I'm sold again. I love the dewy finish it gives and the fact it offers a decent amount of coverage but still allows my freckles to show through. It doesn't slide off during the day or cling to dry patches and it just seems to give me a really healthy glow - it really is such a great foundation.

I do love a bit of contour but, when I only give myself 10 minutes to do my face on a morning, ain't nobody got time for that. So I'll usually just sweep a bit of blush on my cheeks to make me a look a bit more awake, instead. At the moment, I've been leaning towards the Clinique Cheek Pop in Berry Pop as it's a gorgeous rosy pink shade that gives your cheeks that 'just pinched' look.

To be honest, it's rare that I can be bothered to wear eyeshadow but, when I can, I'll nearly always reach for the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette. I literally love this palette - it's perfect for people who can't really be arsed with eyeshadow but still like to make a little effort. I usually wear W.O.S all over the lid, Naked 2 on the crease and a sweep of Venus on my brow bone. This combo gives my eyes a bit of definition whilst still looking really subtle. The shades are so light that you can't really go wrong with them either - perfect for applying at 7am whilst still half asleep.

I've been using Clinique High Impact Mascara for years now and I can't see myself changing any time soon. It's may not be the most volumising or lengthening mascara on the market but it just... works. I think the main reason I use this mascara is because I have sensitive eyes and have had reactions to other brands in the past so I prefer to just stick with Clinique as it's fragrance-free. But, irregardless of this, it's still a great mascara. It doesn't clump (no matter how many layers you apply), gives my lashes a nice amount of volume and also comes out really black. If I want a bit more oomph on a night out then I'll probably grab Benefit's Roller Lash but for day-to-day wear, I'm in it for the long run with this one.

Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake in Thunder is probably one of my favourite make up discoveries ever. Without a brow product, my eyebrows are barely visible so it's important for me to find something that works. I've always struggled with finding a brow product that isn't too dark and isn't too orange based but this particular shade, Thunder, is perfect. It looks grey in the pan but, once on, it's a nice, light, ashy shade that's great for blondes. It lasts ages too - I bought it about 9 months ago and I'm nowhere near hitting pan yet.
What are your favourite everyday make up products?
