Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Eau de Parfum Review

A couple of weeks ago, after a pretty crappy week of having no hot water, I was super happy when I came home to find the most gorgeous parcel on my doorstep from the French fragrance brand, Roger & Gallet. It was all to celebrate the release of their exclusive new scent, Fleur de Figuier. Admittedly, I'd never even heard of this brand before so was unsure if I'd be wowed by it or not, but, I was definitely proved wrong...

First off, can we just appreciate how beautiful this little bundle of goodies is? These guys sure know how to treat a gal! Things like this make me super grateful for the opportunities I often get from blogging and I was honestly blown away by how thoughtful and well put together the whole box was.

Anyway, onto the actual perfume. I love the pretty, delicate design on the front. It's girly yet chic and definitely easy on the eyes. The glass bottle is just as gorgeous too and is currently taking pride of place on my dressing table.

When it comes to perfume, I like fresh, floral scents and that's basically how I'd describe Fleur di Figuier. My usual fragrance of choice is Marc Jacobs Daisy but I often found that, after a few hours, the smell just naturally wore off. Fleur di Figuier,  however, lasts much longer and smells slightly stronger - but without being too overpowering.

I'm not someone who knows anything about what notes are in a scent but, if you're interested, here's how the experts describe it:

Discover the bliss of an early evening spent in the Mediterranean garden of Esterel. This Eau de Parfum is a precious distillation of natural essences that reveals the intensity and sensuality of a sun-ripened fig heart. The mouth-watering and contrasting fresh notes enhance the accord of candied fig, musk and patchouli, for a truly relaxing effect - Fancy, huh?

I honestly LOVE this scent and it couldn't have arrived at a better time as I was just about to repurchase my beloved Daisy. If you're after a new fresh scent for summer, I'd definitely recommend this.
