Pre Holiday Beauty Prep

Before going on holiday, I always like to squeeze in a bit of beauty prep as, not only does it make me get all giddy and excited, it also means I don't have to worry about looking for hairy patches when I could be on a beach with a cocktail in hand. I'll be jetting off to Ibiza for a week on Saturday (yay!) so tonight and tomorrow night will be spent pampering myself silly. Here's what my pre holiday beauty prep involves...
1) From hairy mary to sleek & smooth
Ergh, the dreaded hair removal. Probably the least enjoyable part of my pre holiday beauty prep as you have to get into all the nooks and crannies. I always use the the Gilette Venus razors that come with a soap bar either side of the blade so you don't need shaving foam with it and they never seem to cause me any nasty cuts.
2) Scrubbing away dead skin
I definitely don't exfoliate as often as I should but I always like to make sure I do this before going on holiday so I don't have any annoying dry patches. Also, getting rid of those dead skin cells means your new skin cells will tan and therefore the colour will last a bit longer (or so I've heard!) I'm using the Clarins Exfoliating Body Scrub at the moment which was actually part of a gift with purchase offer a few months ago. Clarins are the best for freebies!
3) Moisturising up
After exfoliation, I'll then moisturise all over to make sure my bod is hydrated and feels all nice and silky. I use the Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser for this because, as the name suggests, it can be used in the shower and I'm far too impatient to sit around and wait for moisturiser to sink in.
4) Freshening the face
I don't really wear make up during the day on holiday so I like to make sure my skin is looking as good as it can be before I go barefaced for a week. I'll be popping on the Lush Mask of Magnaminty to try and get rid of any pesky spots as well as the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask to try and give my face a bit of a glow.
5) Giving my eyes a bit of oomph
My brows and lashes are really blonde naturally so I usually rely on brow powder and mascara to make them more noticeable. But can I be arsed with make up in 30 degree heat? Nah. So that's where this Color Sport 30 Day Mascara steps in. To use, you just mix up the gel and the solution in the little tray it comes with and apply with a spooly or cotton bud. Leave to set for about 5 minutes and then wash off. The colour will usually last about a week to two weeks. It's not the greatest product ever but it just gives my eyebrows and eyelashes a little more colour and is cheaper than getting them done professionally.
6) Avoiding a hair-mare
If there's one thing I dislike about the sun, it's how it makes my hair look and feel. It basically just turns it into a sweaty, frizzy mess so it's nice to at least start the holiday with smooth, well conditioned locks. I use Garnier Ultimate Blends The Glow Replenisher which is an intensive conditioner that you leave on for 1 minute before washing off and you're left with super swishy locks, yay.
7) Treating the feet
I neglect my feet far too often, mainly because they're hidden away a lot in good old England. However, they're on show pretty much constantly whilst on holiday so I'll be making sure they're in tip top condition. I use the Soap & Glory Heel Genius to get rid of dry, flaky skin and will be polishing my toenails with this Maybelline Super Stay Gel Nail Colour in Sunkissed which is a gorgeous coral colour that will look great with a tan (if I actually tanned, that is...)
How do you like to prep for a holiday, beauty wise?
