My First Car & Tips For New Drivers!

Okay, so, September will mark 4 years since I passed my driving test, eek! Boy does that make me feel old. I can still remember just how elated and happy I was when I found out I'd passed (especially because it was my 4th time, lols) so I thought I'd just tell you a little bit about my first car and experiences of driving as well as sharing some useful tips for any first time drivers out there...

My New Favourite Base That Won't Break The Bank

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream
Well, hello there. I feel like I haven't blogged about beauty in ages and, the main reason for this, is because I am one broke gal. I don't know if I've really mentioned this on here before but, last year, I worked for a beauty counter for about 9 months and got some seriously shit hot discount - so I basically bought EVERYTHING high end. But when the job ended and the discount stopped, I realised I had to start looking for cheaper alternatives unless I wanted to live off beans on toast for the rest of my days. Enter Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream; my new favourite base. It's about a third of the price of my previous favourite and, do you know what? I honestly think it may be better...

The Best Places To Shop For Pretty Homeware When You're On A Budget

Since moving into my flat with the boyf last March, I've become completely obsessed with homeware and attempting to make my place look all pretty and pinterest-able. However, I'm not made of money and have to be a bit savvy when it comes to choosing where to shop. No Diptique candles for me, unfortunately. Here's where I go to find chic yet cheap homeware finds...

Book Review: A Year Of Losing The Dating Game

It's been a while since I read a book that literally made me cry with laughter. Like, actual tears. But A Year Of Losing The Dating Game did exactly that. It's honest, open, relatable, ridiculously rude and downright hilarious and, yeah, you should probs read it...

How To Treat Yo' Self Even When You're Broke

I think it's safe to say that everyone loves to treat themselves every now and again. Whether it's to a meal out because you cba to cook, a pair of shoes that you may only wear once but still need or just a standard Starbs vanilla latte - cos girl gotta get her overpriced coffee fix. But, when you're broke, it ain't so easy. Suddenly that bright pink MAC lipstick, that you'll probably only use for selfies anyway, doesn't seem as essential as making sure you can actually afford to pay your bills. So, here's some things I do to make sure I can treat myself to a few bits and pieces even if I'm struggling for money...

Upping My Blogging Game

When I first started blogging properly in December, last year, I didn't really know what to expect. I had no idea just how big the blogging community was or that people actually made money from it. I mainly started one because I wanted a hobby that would also look good on a CV. 9 months on and, without sounding too cheesy, my blog has become my baby. And it's also become something I'm incredibly critical of. I want it to be a place that I'm proud of but, recently, I've not been investing the time and effort into it that I'd like to because, well, life gets in the way. So, I've decided to up my blogging game...

Home Office Inspiration

[Source]
I've become absolutely obsessed with Pinterest recently and, in particular, home inspiration. Whilst having a late night Pinterest sesh, I decided that I absolutely NEEDED a home office (a.k.a a desk in my spare room) so bought a desk from Ikea yesterday and set up my own mini office. I feel so profesh. It's nowhere near ready enough to show you so, instead, I'll show you where I'll be getting my inspiration from...

14 Reasons I'm Crap At Being An Adult

So I've officially been an adult for 4 years now. Wow, that's scary. And, to be honest, there's plenty of times that I still think I'm a teenager. People will ask me my age and I'll still think I'm 18 but - nope - I am 22. When I was younger, I envisioned adult me strolling around the city in business wear, sipping lattes, drinking white wine on an evening and just generally having my shit together. Whilst I was defo right about the latte obsession, the rest - not so much. Here's 15 reasons why I'm a bit of a crap adult (complete with gif's obvs...)

Sweat Proof Make Up Sorted

Wanna know something I hate about summer? Sweat. Being sweaty, looking sweaty, feeling sweaty. It's not cool. So, recently, I've been seeking out make up that will actually stay on my face in these higher temperatures and I think I might have nailed it with these four products...

Healthy Banana, Blueberry & Oats Pancakes Recipe

During the week I can never be arsed spending time making fancy breakfasts and usually just opt for something quick and easy so, on a weekend, I like to have something a bit more special. I'm trying to eat cleaner at the moment so have been following a lot of vegan recipes and decided to give these blueberry and banana pancakes a go after seeing them on Deliciously Ella. I've changed the recipe a bit but I can honestly say these are GORGEOUS. I seriously wish I'd made a stack of 10 instead of 5 because, my god, they were good and I suggest you all go whip some up right now...

The Comparison Curse

I've touched upon comparison quite a bit in previous posts but I thought I'd do a whole post on it cos why the hell not? I am extremely guilty of comparing myself to other people. To the point where I literally rip myself apart questioning why I'm not as good as other people. Why am I not as successful in my career as this person or why am I not as slim and toned as that person? It's torturous, tiring - and basically pointless. So why the eff do I do it?

Wishlist #5: The Minimalist Edition

I don't know about you guys but I'm all over this idea of a minimalist/capsule wardrobe at the moment. The idea being that you just have a wardrobe full of staple items that can easily be mixed and matched with each other - rather than owning a load of random crap that you've probably only worn once. With this in mind, I've created a wishlist full of items that would make perfect additions for any capsule wardrobe...

Favourite Face Masks

I do love a good face mask. I don't know why, but there's just something beautiful about getting into your pyjamas after a long day and relaxing for 10 minutes with a layer of cream/gloop all over your face, isn't there? Here are three of my favourite masks...
