Origins Like A Dream Christmas Set Review

Remember when I did a post, a couple of weeks ago, all about the Christmas beauty sets I had my eye on? Well this Origins Like A Dream set was one of them and I treat myself to it a couple of weeks ago and have been LOVING it...

I'd had my eye on the Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins cream for ages so when I saw a set with that and other goodies in it, I thought YOLO and popped it straight in my basket.

I think this set is really good value as the cream alone is sold for £35 but the set costs just £40 and you get two other good sized products and a cute lil eye mask and make up bag with it, too! I managed to snap this up when Boots were offering 10% off premium beauty and extra points too so, y'know, winning.

First off, I'll tell you about the main attraction of the set - the High Potency Night-A-Mins renewal cream. I absolutely LOVE this. It smells so, so good - very orange-y and similar to the Ginzing day cream, if you've ever used that. It has a lightweight texture which is great for me as I hate it when night creams are too tacky and thick whereas this just sinks in like a dream (ha) but still manages to make my face feel super hydrated, when I wake up. Definitely a cream I'll be repurchasing!

The Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask is a product I'd seen hyped about loads on various blogs so I was super excited to try this out. I've only used it a few times, unlike the night cream which I've used every night, as it's only really needed when your skin needs a bit of TLC. But, as it is so cold out, I feel like my skin feels dehydrated quite often at the moment so I've been using this as a nice lil Sunday night treat. Despite been thick, this actually sinks in really well and I just really like the fact you can go to sleep with it on. The worst part of face masks, for me, is rinsing/wiping them off, (seriously, sometimes I just completely forget), so the fact you can keep this on overnight is a life saver. I think I'll be getting a lot of use out of this as the temperatures drop even further as my skin feels much plumper and more hydrated on a morning, after using this baby.

Okay, so the least exciting product of the bunch has to be the Precipitation body cream - that's not to say there's anything wrong with it - but body moisturisers just don't excite me like facial skincare does! However, it's still a lovely moisturiser with a nice consistency that left my skin looking super silky after using. I wouldn't purchase this on it's own, like I would the other two, but only because I just don't invest in body skincare like I do with the facial stuff.

It's safe to say I'm more than pleased with this beaut of a set from Origins and it was definitely a nice early Christmas treat for myself! It's worth bearing in mind that this set will probably get reduced after Christmas, too, so keep your eyes peeled for it! I may even have to buy another one, if it does, to make sure I'm well stocked up on that dreamy night cream...

Have you treat yourself to any early Xmas presents?
