Cheap, Everyday Essentials Every Girl Needs

There are certain products I use practically every day and kinda couldn't live without but never really mention on the old blog because they're, well, a bit boring and not the most glamorous. I mean, no-one wants to see a pic of my make up free face dotted in sudocrem in an attempt to calm my spots down on Insta, do they? But, today I thought I'd give these reliable, trusty products the credit they deserve...

Sudocrem, £1.99
Sudocrem is one of those products I always like to have on hand because it can be used for so many different things. I've been using it mostly to calm down angry spots at the moment and I really do think it works! Yes, you look a bit of a twat with white dots all over your face and it's a bit annoying when you forget you've got it on and smear it all over your pillow, but what's a gal to do?! It's also good for soothing dry or sore skin.

Talcum Powder, £1
This has been a staple in my life since I was a baby, I think. Not even joking. I'm talking about baby talc here, btw, not that weird scented stuff that some elderly women like. I basically just pat a bitta powder all over my bod once I've dried myself off after a shower and it just makes your skin feel really soft. It's also good for sorting out a greasy mop if you've run out of dry shampoo, too. Speaking of which...

Dry Shampoo, £2.99
Would you believe me if I said I hadn't used dry shampoo for about 5 years up until about a month ago? Nah-uh, me either. I always thought it was just a bit of a gimmick then I gave it a go again not too long ago and, seriously, what a game changer. I'd got into a habit of washing my hair every day and, c'mon, who's really got time for that? But now I've started using dry shampoo, again, I can easily go three days without washing it. And that, my friends, makes me seriously happy.

Vaseline, £1.95
Ah, vaseline - my trusty old friend. Remember the days when the little tins first came out and it was basically a law to permanently have one in your school blazer pocket and apply it approx 43 times a day? Good times. I suffer from chapped lips for about half of the year so it's essential for me to always have a lil tin of this stuff at arms reach.
