I've been in one of those annoying blogger moods for ages recently where I just think my blog is shit and compare every little thing about it to other people's. Woe is me - I know, right. Anyway, I'm not writing this blog post to moan about my own problems, I wanted to talk about playing to your strengths as a blogger...
Did you know I went on holiday last week? OF COURSE YOU DID since I haven't shut up about it. Anyways, fashion posts are rare over here because, well, I don't really wear anything exciting on a daily basis. But being on holiday was a fab excuse to dress up every night and force my boyfriend into taking photos of me in a variety of locations. Here's some of my fave outfits from my week away - that pretty much all seem to be from New Look which is good for the old bank balance...
Bit of a rambling one from me today guys but it's something that's been on my mind for a while now. Instagram seems to have completely taken over the realms of social media in the past few years. Don't get me wrong, I love Instagram. I take great pleasure in wasting my mornings scrolling through my feed and I'm one of those annoying people who feels the need to photograph pretty much everything because, Instagram. So what's my problem with it, I here you say? Well...
One of my new years resolutions, this year, was to read a book a week. Sounds a bit crazy, right? But for the first 3-4 months of the year, I actually managed to achieve this quite easily. But from April onwards? I failed. Mainly due to lack of time, laziness and swapping books for social media - so 21st century. So, when I went on holiday for a week - and didn't have wifi on tap - I spent a lot of my days with my nose in a book as the sun shone down on me. Bliss. Here's a mini review on each of the books I read...
If you follow me on Instagram/Twitter you've probably noticed I've been in Ibiza for the past week since I haven't stopped banging on about it - sorry about that. I'm suffering from a serious case of holiday blues right now so thought I'd put a post together of some of my favourite snaps from my week away...
I hate mornings. Well, I don't hate mornings if something good is happening - like I'm getting up to go on holiday or something - but those standard run of the mill mornings where all there's to look forward to is a day at work? Yep, those mornings are hard. Lately I've been trying to get better at mornings because I really do think how you spend the morning can have an impact on the rest of your day. So here's some tips to try and make those early starts a little less painful...
As you're reading this, I'll be in Ibiza - probably chilling on a beach or making the most of the all you can eat breakfast buffet (I'll take all the croissants, please). So, I thought I'd share with you what's in my holiday make up bag. I don't like to wear much make up whilst abroad, in a warm country, AT ALL so I've kept it simple with just 5 products that will be pretty much all I use whilst away...
I've been a bit of a last minute Larry with the old holiday packing this year and have left it until the night before I go away to actually make a start. And being the top procrastinator I am, I've decided to sit down and list all the thoughts I have whilst packing instead of actually, y'know, packing...
Before going on holiday, I always like to squeeze in a bit of beauty prep as, not only does it make me get all giddy and excited, it also means I don't have to worry about looking for hairy patches when I could be on a beach with a cocktail in hand. I'll be jetting off to Ibiza for a week on Saturday (yay!) so tonight and tomorrow night will be spent pampering myself silly. Here's what my pre holiday beauty prep involves...
I've definitely been getting a bit list happy on here lately, soz, but these posts just seem to come really easily to me and I think people enjoy reading them. Today I thought I'd talk about some of the things blogging has taught me from the silly to the serious...
Now summer's here, the big bag that can fit the kitchen sink in is long gone and in it's replacement is this beautiful little ted baker number I picked up in the sales last year (how pretty is it though!?) so I've had to really downsize what I can lug around with me on a daily basis. Here are the essential items I like to have with me, at all times, for any beauty related emergencies...
I'm kind of on the fence about 'me time' because, most of the time, I actually really hate being on my own as I'm so needy. However, I do think that if, like me, you're someone who rarely does get time to themselves - it's nice to make the most of it when the opportunity does arise. Here's a few ways to spend that ever so precious 'me time'...
Despite being a bit of a cup half empty kinda gal sometimes, I'm still a sucker for pinning quotes like a mad woman, on Pinterest, in the hopes they'll inspire and uplift me. So today, I thought I'd share with you all some of my favourite quotes to give you a bit of mid-week motivation and (hopefully) not cause any cringe-induced vomiting...
