Antipodes is one of those brands that I've always admired from a distance. Probably because it's just not as mainstream as other skincare brands like Clarins or Clinique, so I wasn't completely sure on how well their products would work. However, after trying out a couple of different products from their range, I am completely sold. And, since it's organic beauty week at the moment, I thought it was the perfect time to share some of my favourite products from Antipodes with you because, you guessed it, everything of theirs is either completely organic or packed with natural ingredients...
Being too busy to blog is a problem I see people constantly talking about and it can be a real pain in the arse. When blogging isn't your job and is just a bit on the side, so to speak, it can't always take priority and - even if it is your job - sometimes life can just get in the way. I'm in a similar scenario myself, at the moment, so thought I'd throw together a couple of things to do and what to remember when you find yourself just too damn busy to blog - but don't want to completely abandon your baby altogether...
Summer may almost be over and I may have done a post just yesterday babbling on about all the products I'm lusting over in preparation for Autumn, but, there's still some 'summery' products I definitely won't be shunning, despite the new season setting in...
Now that we're saying goodbye to summer and getting ready for Autumn, I feel like my make up and skincare collection is due a major switch up. I tend to take a 'less is more' approach when the weather is warmer but, as the colder weather sets in, I'm all about thick moisturisers, face masks, dark nails and the ever sought after berry lip. Here's some bits and pieces I'm adding to my Autumn/Winter beauty wishlist...
I don't really have one of those recurring post themes going on over here, as of yet, so thought I'd start one - a Sunday summary. HOW ORIGINAL, IKR. It just means I can share some snaps from my week and have a bit of a chat. I'm nosy and really like reading these types of posts so (hopefully) you lot will too...
Wahoo, it's Fri-yay! Although, this week has absolutely flown by for me because I've had a bit of time off before I start my placement on Monday. So, since I had a week free, Josh booked 3 days off too, and we decided to have a little UK getaway in the Lake District as we've been itching to have a mini holiday but didn't want to venture too far away...
I'm very hit and miss when it comes to blog organisation. Sometimes, I'm like "yes, lets make all the lists and schedule lots of posts" then, other times, I just type things as I go. To be honest, I prefer to be spontaneous usually as I often think I end up forcing posts when I try to think of them in advance. However, if you are wanting to get your arse into gear and be a bit more organised on the blogging front then here's a few tips which have helped me...
During my (far too regular) Pinterest sessions, I kept coming across a shit ton of pins about 'capsule wardrobes' - and I was intrigued. For a while now, I've been unhappy with my wardrobe and felt like I didn't really like anything in there and wanted to do something about it. Which is why I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe. Essentially, a capsule wardrobe is a collection of versatile pieces - all of which you really love. Pieces that you didn't just buy 'cos it was on sale' and you're not just keeping 'incase you lose 10lbs next summer'. It does mean that you may have a much smaller wardrobe, yes, but everything in there will be able to be mixed and matched with each other and put together to create various different outfits. So, I decided to make this a new mission of mine: to get rid of all my old shit and create a dreamy capsule wardrobe. Here's some tips on how I'm getting started with it...
It's official: I'm obsessed with Etsy. And I'm probably a bit late to the bandwagon because I only really started to pay attention to this marketplace of dreams about a month ago. I know, who am I!? So, since I now I lose many hours of my days browsing through the various shops within the world of Etsy, I thought I'd share with you some of my fave ones. I apologise to your bank accounts in advance...
Admittedly, by younger I basically mean like, y'know, 16. But although 6 years doesn't seem like a lot, in the grand scheme of things, I feel like there's still so many things I'd love to tell my 16 year old self, now that I'm a 22 year old wise owl. So here goes...
When I think about festival bag essentials, lots of things come to mind ranging from wet wipes to dry shampoo to wellies to, well, a tent, duh. But a straightener/curler/any kind of heated hair tool was definitely not on that list. Until now...
