Sometimes You Just Need A Bit Of Vitamin Sea

As you probably already know if you follow me on Instagram (if not, you probs should), I've just got back from a week in the beautiful island of Kos, Greece. I've been one of those annoying folk who posts pictures of themselves sipping cocktails on the beach on a Monday morning, soz about that. As I say every year, a week is never enough, though, and I'm currently spending my time trying to work out if I could afford to actually live if I booked another holiday. It's tempting!

For me, going on holiday is my favourite time of the year. I just love waking up on a morning, with the sun shining, knowing that I literally have nothing to worry about for the next few days. I'm so envious of people who travel! If I had the money, I'd go away far more often because nothing chills me out more than a week filled with sun, sea and sand.

We didn't really do much on this holiday, to be honest, which I know isn't everyone's cup of tea but it was exactly what I needed! I usually do prefer to have a bit of an explore but, other than 2 days visiting Kos town, we spent the rest of the week plonked on a sun lounger either by the sea or the pool.

We booked this holiday on a bit of a budget so I wasn't expecting the world but, to say we paid less than £400 each for flights, transfers and all inclusive accomodation, we didn't do too badly! The hotel was right in front of a cute little beach which I could sunbathe on for hours on end and not get bored, I swear. Is there anything better than getting stuck in a good book whilst hearing the tide go in and out, though?

I say the same thing every time I get back from a holiday but it always makes me realise that once you abandon the general worries of everyday life - deadlines at work, having enough money to go on a night out, avoiding the rush hour traffic etc - everything just seems so simple. When I've got the sun on my skin, my favourite person by my side and the sound of waves lapping at the shore, I don't need much else.

But as much as I'm sad to be home, I feel like a week away has done me the world of good - I feel refreshed and a lot more motivated - especially with blogging! Having loads of free time whilst away meant I had time to take photos, come up with new ideas and generally just feel a lot more inspired. I've felt so lost with my blog since the beginning of this year and my content has gone majorly downhill because I've just completely ran out of things to blog about, if I'm honest. I've got a few posts scheduled though and, hopefully, many more on the horizon. It's amazing how much a week away from everyday life can do, huh?

Now, I think I've convinced myself to get looking for my next adventure...
