Recent Beauty Favourites

Hello, hello - it's been a while hasn't it!? I say this every time I go on a bit of a blogging break but this actually is the longest I've gone without blogging since I started I think. Not cool. Anyways, here I am, with a little post on some bangin' beauty bits I've been trying over the past month or so that I just had to share with you...

Aside from the fact I haven't actually blogged in general in a while, I haven't blogged about beauty in forever and I'd really like to start doing it more. I love trialing new beauty bits and am the first to read other people's reviews and recommendations but just seem to cba doing my own. So I think I'm going to start sharing my beauty faves more often because it's always nice to introduce people to products you're really passionate about, in the hopes that they'll feel the same way!

I've talked about Antipodes products a lot on here as they're one of my favourite skincare brands out there. Pretty much everything I've tried by them hasn't disappointed and, at the moment, a product I've found myself reaching for regularly from their range is the Joyful Hand & Body Cream*. I feel like it's one of those creams that is nothing special but it works and it lasts. I'm not really selling it here am I? But, trust me, it's a not-too-greasy, still packed with moisture cream with a not-too-heavy, still strong enough to smell something scent. (Maybe these kind of descriptions are why I'm not a beauty blogger?) I like to put this on my hands (and any other dry patches on my body) before I got to bed and allow it to sink in and work it's magic over night.

Gatineau is a new brand I've been trying out and, well, in all honesty, I'd never actually heard of them until I was sent two of their products to review. But I'm very glad I've been introduced to them as their Aquamemory range is everything. I've been using the Aquamemory Moisture Replenish Cream* both day and night as I love it that much. It's a lightweight gel cream (my favourite kind) so sinks straight into your skin and it doesn't feel like you actually have anything on. Plus it smells beaut. I've also been reaching for their High Hydration Cream Masktwice a week to try and zap some life into my dull skin! Maybe I'm not glowing just yet, but it's definitely made a difference. It says to apply for 15 minutes and tissue off but, because its a cream mask and actually just feels like a heavier moisturiser, I've been wearing it overnight and my face feels seriously soft when I wake up and wash it off. Like the moisturiser, it smells amazing!

Finally, my favourite beauty buy of all, in recent times, is the Nuxe Reve Di Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm. Like seriously guys, if you don't own this, you need to. Yes, £9.50 for a lip balm is steep considering you can pick up a tin of vaseline for a quid but it's worth it. It's one of those products that you don't realise you need until you own it, if that makes sense? I used to have dry lips constantly (even in the summer!) and found myself going through pots and pots of Vaseline to try and keep them moisturised. Because this lip balm is so thick and nourishing, you only need to use a little bit to see a difference. I've started just putting some on each night and my dry lips are a thing of the past - I've been using this every night for over a month now, too, and the pot barely looks touched. So if you're unsure of whether or not to invest, I'd bare in mind that it will probably last you a long time so will be worth the splurge in the long run!

Oh, and how fab are those metallic Bolsius candles?!* They look gorgeous on my dressing table and are proving to be a very useful blogging prop...

Have you tried any of these products out?
