9 Topshop Pieces You Need In Your Autumn Wardrobe

Now we're officially in a new season, I feel like it's about time my wardrobe reflected that. Out with the old, in with the new and all that. I talked about starting a capsule wardrobe a couple of weeks ago and I've slowly but surely been adding some bits to it but there's still room for way more key pieces yet. I've become obsessed with checking the Topshop 'new in' section at the moment as their Autumn additions are seriously on point. Like, honestly, I want it ALL. But I've restrained myself and picked out just 9 pieces that I really love and think are perfect for any Autumn wardrobe...

I really like this jumper because it's just uber laidback and would basically go with anything. It doesn't look too thick either so you could probs start wearing it from now onwards and not worry about getting a sweat on.

2. Floral Tie Front Dress
I'm not a dress person but this is one I could definitely get along with. I think it's casual enough to wear on a day to day basis with some tights or leggings but you could easily dress it up for a night out with some heels. Plus, I'm all over the tie up front trend at the moment.

3. Ribbed Funnel Neck Top
I like this top because it has long sleeves and a funnel neck to keep you nice and toasty when it's a bit chilly outside but won't leave you feeling too warm as it's not thick, like a jumper. It's just a really versatile, staple top.

4. Burgundy Leggings
I never thought I'd see the day where I actually considered wearing coloured leggings again but these burgundy ones are definitely making me change my mind. There's something about burgundy that just screams 'autumnal' and I think these would look fab with chunky knits and baggy sweaters and just look a bit more sassy than plain old black.

5. Brown Tassel Saddle Bag
I spotted this little badboy in Hannah Gale's autumn capsule wardrobe post and fell in love. There's 4 different colours; brown, black, burgundy and pale pink but I'm drawn towards the brown, for some reason. They look very much like those Chloe Drew bags that I keep seeing plastered all over Pinterest/Instagram but have a much more purse friendly price tag, phew.

6. Monk shoes
Like the bag, these baby's come in 4 colours too but, again, I'm drawn towards the tan/brown shade. I feel like these are good 'transitional' shoes as they'll keep your tootsies nice n warm but you won't feel like you've gone from flip flops to big boots in the space of a few weeks.

7. Chelsea Boots
I really can't see Chelsea boots ever going out of fashion as they're just such a versatile shoe. They'll go with almost anything, keep your feet warm and dry and, since they're pretty basic, you can probs get away with wearing them at work too. Win.

8. Denim Pinafore
I don't think I've worn a pinafore since like, primary school? But I keep seeing them crop up just about everywhere and feel like it's essential I invest in one. I kinda feel like you can just throw one on over a plain tee/long sleeved top and instantly look like you're a bit of a fashionista because, yep, you're wearing a pinafore.

9. Black Denim Button Down Skirt
I'm so happy the button down denim skirt trend is carrying on throughout A/W because I just love 'em. I wore my blue New Look one a lot throughout summer but think black is just a bit more suitable for Autumn as a blue denim skirt just screams 'summer' still, for me.
