Decorating A Small Space For Christmas

If, like me, you don't have loads of space for a big Christmas tree covered in lights and baubles, then you'll probably prefer to get your place in the festive spirit by other means. My side board takes centre stage in my living room - it's one of those pieces of furniture that is more for show than practicality - I love styling it with prints, candles and what not. So, come December, I knew I wanted to fill it with festive decorations!

I decided to go for a gold and white theme. Which now means I need to buy gold and white wrapping paper so everything matches when the presents are sitting under the tree, of course.

Homesense sent me a giftcard about a month ago to get some festive bits and pieces with so most of the stuff we bought is from there - I also popped in to good old Wilko and Next Home for some other things, too.

The first thing we bought was this distressed, wooden sign that reads 'Joy, Noel, Peace' - it's got a bit of a shabby chic element to it which I love. Next to that is a super cool golden stag ornament and a seriously cute light-up wooden box with birds on branches! All from Homesense. If you haven't checked out their Christmas range yet - you need to. They literally have such a huge selection this year - it took me ages to actually narrow down what I was going to buy!

I also got a small winter themed diffuser from Next home to replace my current diffuser with, for the time being and picked up a cute little wooden bark tree (which was only a pound!) and some festive looking faux foliage, from Wilko, to put in my existing vase.

I'm in love with my Christmassy sideboard - it's got me in the festive spirit and is a great backdrop for Insta pics too which is always a bonus, right!?

Where can I get it all?

Distressed wooden sign*, £7.99, Homesense
Golden stag ornament*, £5.99, Homesense
Light up wooden box*, £7.99, Homesense
Winter spruce diffuser, £6.50, Next Home
Mini bark tree, £1, Wilko

What do you think of my festive decorations?
