Recent Beauty Favourites

Hello, hello - it's been a while hasn't it!? I say this every time I go on a bit of a blogging break but this actually is the longest I've gone without blogging since I started I think. Not cool. Anyways, here I am, with a little post on some bangin' beauty bits I've been trying over the past month or so that I just had to share with you...

Stocking Filler Ideas: Beauty Bits £8 & Under!

I'm a firm believer that stocking fillers should be inexpensive - as all they are is a 'filler' present, after all! However, I've seen loads of beauty 'stocking filler' gift guides kicking around that are quite the opposite - a £20 mascara may fit nicely in a stocking but, for me, that ain't a filler! So I wanted to put together some bits and bobs for the beauty lover in your life that won't break the bank...

A Few Face Mask Faves

I absolutely adore using face masks when it gets to the colder months. There's just something seriously relaxing about having a nice, hot bath with some form of cream slathered all over your face, isn't there?

Wishlist: Summer Beauty Essentials

Gosh, I feel like payday has taken FOREVER to arrive this month (I probably say this every month but, still.) I go through phases of lusting over either clothes/homeware/beauty and this month I NEED new beauty bits. It seems as though this humid weather is here to stay, so I'm in urgent need of a few new essentials to add to my collection and help keep me cool, here's what I've got my eye on...

Boots Haul - The Time I Got All This For Less Than £30!

I never post hauls because it's rare I buy loads of things at once, to be honest. But when I popped into Boots, last week, I could hardly resist when I found a shit ton of brushes/eyelashes/nails etc on offer -not just your usual 3 for 2 either - like literally less than £3 each!

Three Summer Skincare Must-Haves

During the colder months, I'm all about slapping as many skincare products as possible on my face in order to stop it being dry and dull. But, much to my pleasure, Summer time comes with a much more streamlined skincare stash. There's no need for thick face masks to counteract those dodgy dry bits or endless applications of vaseline to soothe chapped lips - Summer is extremely kind to my skin meaning I don't need to use that much on it, really. These three products are most likely going to be my main gals over the upcoming summery months...

Dressing Table Details

Ikea Malm Dressing Table
When I first moved into my flat, almost two years ago now (wow, that has flown!), one of the first pieces of furniture I looked for was a dressing table. I remember when I was deciding which dresser to buy and how to style it, I spent hours browsing Pinterest, Instagram and other peoples blogs for inspiration so I thought I'd share with you some of the details of my dressing table, now I'm finally kinda happy with it...

Antipodes Vanilla Pod Day Cream & Avocado Pear Night Cream Review

When it comes to skincare, Antipodes is definitely one of my favourite brands. If I'm being completely honest, I'd never tried anything by them until last year when I was sent some products to try but, since then, I've fallen in love. I have quite sensitive skin and I break out easily so when I find a brand I like and my skin gets on with - I tend to stick to it. I was sent a day cream and night cream to try a few weeks ago so thought I'd share with you how I'm getting along with them!

Cheap, Everyday Essentials Every Girl Needs

There are certain products I use practically every day and kinda couldn't live without but never really mention on the old blog because they're, well, a bit boring and not the most glamorous. I mean, no-one wants to see a pic of my make up free face dotted in sudocrem in an attempt to calm my spots down on Insta, do they? But, today I thought I'd give these reliable, trusty products the credit they deserve...

Christmas Gift Guide: Stocking Filler Ideas Under £5!

I don't know about you, but I always like to buy stocking fillers for people - even if I've got them a big, main gift - just 'cause it's a little extra something to open. But, lets be honest, some stocking fillers can either be a bit crap or cost far more than they should for something so tiny. So, if you're stuck for some ideas for little bits and bobs to pop in any gals stocking, then this post should have you covered...

Remember when I did a post, a couple of weeks ago, all about the Christmas beauty sets I had my eye on? Well this Origins Like A Dream set was one of them and I treat myself to it a couple of weeks ago and have been LOVING it...

Christmas Beauty Sets I've Got My Eye On

Although Christmas is a time for giving, it would be just plain rude not to include yourself in the equation, right? Because, yes, you may receive gifts from others but who knows your taste better than you do, huh? If you're a beauty addict, like me, then Christmas beauty sets will probably send you into a bit of a frenzy. Limited edition products, cute mini versions of your fave moisturiser or lipstick. It's heaven, basically...

Recent Beauty Favourites

I haven't done a beauty related post in forevs so thought I was well overdue. Monthly favourites aren't really a thing on my blog, mainly because I just don't buy new stuff all that often. But I've discovered loads of new products recently so thought I'd just do a general favourites post to tell you about them all...

My Go To Autumnal MAC Eye Shades

Other than my Marc Jacobs watch, my most prized possession is definitely my MAC Eyeshadow Pro Palette. Even though, admittedly, half of the shades rarely get used - it's just so pretty to look at. Y'know how it is - some people collect stamps, I collect eyeshadows. I've been wanting to share my completed palette on here for a while now as I finished it months ago but I'm still a bit unsure about some of the shades. So, instead, I thought I'd just show you my 'autumnal' shades (bet you're sick of hearing that word on blogs already, aren't you?)

All About Antipodes

Antipodes Products
Antipodes is one of those brands that I've always admired from a distance. Probably because it's just not as mainstream as other skincare brands like Clarins or Clinique, so  I wasn't completely sure on how well their products would work. However, after trying out a couple of different products from their range, I am completely sold. And, since it's organic beauty week at the moment, I thought it was the perfect time to share some of my favourite products from Antipodes with you because, you guessed it, everything of theirs is either completely organic or packed with natural ingredients...

The 'Getting Prepared for A/W' Beauty Wishlist

Now that we're saying goodbye to summer and getting ready for Autumn, I feel like my make up and skincare collection is due a major switch up. I tend to take a 'less is more' approach when the weather is warmer but, as the colder weather sets in, I'm all about thick moisturisers, face masks, dark nails and the ever sought after berry lip. Here's some bits and pieces I'm adding to my Autumn/Winter beauty wishlist...

My New Favourite Base That Won't Break The Bank

Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream
Well, hello there. I feel like I haven't blogged about beauty in ages and, the main reason for this, is because I am one broke gal. I don't know if I've really mentioned this on here before but, last year, I worked for a beauty counter for about 9 months and got some seriously shit hot discount - so I basically bought EVERYTHING high end. But when the job ended and the discount stopped, I realised I had to start looking for cheaper alternatives unless I wanted to live off beans on toast for the rest of my days. Enter Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream; my new favourite base. It's about a third of the price of my previous favourite and, do you know what? I honestly think it may be better...

Sweat Proof Make Up Sorted

Wanna know something I hate about summer? Sweat. Being sweaty, looking sweaty, feeling sweaty. It's not cool. So, recently, I've been seeking out make up that will actually stay on my face in these higher temperatures and I think I might have nailed it with these four products...

Favourite Face Masks

I do love a good face mask. I don't know why, but there's just something beautiful about getting into your pyjamas after a long day and relaxing for 10 minutes with a layer of cream/gloop all over your face, isn't there? Here are three of my favourite masks...

What's In My Holiday Make Up Bag?

As you're reading this, I'll be in Ibiza - probably chilling on a beach or making the most of the all you can eat breakfast buffet (I'll take all the croissants, please).  So, I thought I'd share with you what's in my holiday make up bag. I don't like to wear much make up whilst abroad, in a warm country, AT ALL so I've kept it simple with just 5 products that will be pretty much all I use whilst away...
